Abstract A field experiment was conducted to study the effect of pipes depth and distance between them in smart artificial subsurface irrigation system on efficiency performance yield sunflower ( Helianths annuus L. ), one fields Al-Raed Research Station/Ministry Water Resources located 25 km west Baghdad for growing season 2022. Two factors were used experiment, first factor included depths at three levels 10, 15, 20 cm.
